Dimension Hatross

Photobucket
A metalhead earlier

Ever heard of Canadian band Voivod? Well you should because they made an album in 1988 called Dimension Hatross which is f**king killer! After hearing the awesome Tribal Convictions on the metal chart slot of the Chart Show in the eighties, I went straight to Swansea HMV and got a copy of the album. True story. What an album, every track is a blend of metal, techno, thrash and pounding bad ass bass lines. It still more than holds up today and indeed pi$$es on a lot of newer stuff by a heavy mile.
I never read many rave reviews back in the day and a few metalheads have never heard of the album. For f**king shame! You NEED Dimension Hatross in your life! Its a straight up 11/10 5 star record.

Track listing
Prologue
1. Experiment
2. Tribal Convictions
3. Chaosmöngers
4. Technocratic Manipulators

Epilogue
5. Macrosolutions to Megaproblems
6. Brain Scan
7. Psychic Vacuum
8. Cosmic Drama
9. Batman (Theme to the 1960s Batman show)

Wiki wrongly states that Batman only appears on the CD version, and doesn't feature on the cassette/vinyl recordings. Bullshit! Or my cassette is ultra rare because its on mine.

Do yourselves a favour and check 'em out here!

Cheese & Chives

Photobucket
So moorish!

Why in name of Kerry King's beard have Tesco stopped selling these wonderful crisps? It was one of the only tasty things they sold. (I find their grub very bland). Forget Pringles, these cheese & chive potato snacks were the buisness. And I demand Tesco bring them back this instant!

Burger with Onion Rings

Photobucket
Smile!

I was surfing American burger joints a few days ago and saw one (it might have been from In n' Out Burgers but not 100%) where they put onion rings on the pattie'burger instead of regular fried onions. Now I was always of the mind that onions were the preferred topping of hot dogs but I could never turn down the chance to cook and taste a new idea. The cheese was extra mature but the burger I used was a veggie type *shock* Not that it mattered because the cheese and onion were the dominant flavours in this burger and I enjoyed it.
Id be interested to see how a fried egg would taste in this combo were I to replace cheese for eggs. Could be onto a winner there come to think about it as the yolk would compliment the battered onions fairly well. *Makes mental note to add egg next*
By the way if like me you are partial to a slice of bread and butter with your chips/fries, pass on it with this meal. I definately will be next time! Tasty burger though, well recommended.

Music to eat to ~ Slayer, Rammstein, Obituary.

Pepperoni Pizza & Egg

Heres something I rustled up last night during a drinking session. you can tell im on the sauce because I repeat the fact im using fresh farm eggs throughout the entire vid. El Oh El! (LOL geddit?) Anyway this is one of those perfect drinking meals in my opinion as it covers all the bases: meat, bread, cheese and egg. Enjoy!

Ps ~ theres no Cannibal Corpse playing in the background like there usually is, because if there was you wouldn't hear me talking. And you wouldn't want that now would you?

Ride The (Green) Lightning

Photobucket

This is a rare misprint of Metallica's Ride The Lightning album, where the familiar blue is replaced with a nice shade of green. Only 400 copies were pressed in 1984 by Bernett Records which makes them super prized collectors items.
